Shepardson Research Labs
Colorado State University
is an exciting environment for research in general, and agricultural biotechnology
research in particular. Greenhouses and several research buildings for
the biological-agricultural sciences departments are being renovated.
This active, well-funded research environment is enhanced by the Shepardson
building.
Shepardson brings together applied and basic expertise of faculty members
in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture (HLA) for
collaborative projects that are difficult to carry out within traditional
academic boundaries. The third floor includes
faculty research laboratories doing biochemical, molecular and genetic
research, common-use equipment rooms and autoclave areas.

Post-docs play an important role in our department. For example, Dr. Vepachedu is teaching M.S. student, Tanner Hagelstrom, research techniques in plant molecular biology.
